When a little boy named Miller was only nine months old, his parents brought home a fluffy dog named Stella. Since then, they’ve pretty much done everything side by side. Over at @stella_thedoodleadventures, fans get to see the reality of this family’s “real life chaos” and sweet outdoor adventures. The dog and the little boy have grown up together, and now, eight years later, separating them doesn’t even feel like an option.

The video kicks off in the living room, daylight coming in through the open curtains, nothing much happening at first. Miller is sprawled out on the couch, adjusting a cozy blanket to get comfortable for a nap. Except… that’s not actually a cushion under his face. He is actually using Stella’s fluffy belly as a warm pillow while they sleep together. It turns out that a Double Doodle’s soft, curly coat makes for the perfect resting spot for an afternoon nap.
When the camera moves to a more frontal angle, we see that Stella is also fast asleep with her head resting comfortably on the armrest of the couch. Both of them look just so peaceful as they snuggle close to one another. Later, the dog wakes up for a brief moment to let out a massive yawn, but she doesn’t just go back to sleep immediately. The dog lifts her head for a second, just to check on the little boy.
In another of her posts, we learn that Stella is famous for some pretty funny habits beyond being a great nap buddy. Her owners joke that she is a “street pooper” who prefers pavement over the grass every single time. Catching food isn’t her thing, but sticking close absolutely is.
The video’s pulled in over 3.2k likes, and people keep saying it’s sweet and precious. One fan even thought Miller was just a very shaggy pillow at first glance. This dog is clearly the little sister the little boy never had but always needed.
