Fans were just as smitten watching the dog giving her dad such a sweet hug. One viewer wrote, “Holly is definitely the gift that keeps on giving ?” while another couldn’t get over the moment, commenting, “She really is hugging you!?” A third viewer wrote, “Always and forever – just a baby?” Meanwhile, a fourth one could not contain their admiration, writing, “Omg she’s the cutest, smartest dog. As for why some dogs seem to hug or cuddle, it can be less about copying human behavior and more about what works for them. Dogs would often tend to repeat actions that get a warm reaction, including smiles, laughter, pats, and attention, so if Holly learned that placing her paws around her dad earns her extra affection, it makes perfect sense that she would keep repeating the hug. On top of that, many bully breeds love close contact with their human, so a cuddle is pretty on brand.
