The heart wants what it wants, even when you’re a big, strong dog and have the desire to claim a bouquet of flowers on a coffee table. Fonzee is a massive eight-month-old Bullmastiff who is currently going through a very dramatic phase, documented by @fonzeethebullmastiff. He is quickly growing into those giant paws, but his maturity level hasn’t quite caught up yet. His latest obsession is a vase of decorative stems that he absolutely refuses to leave be. Every time this dog gets close to the flowers, his mom has to step in to tell him he can’t have them.
Dog makes a sad face after owner asks to leave flower decoration alone
The footage starts in the living room while the TV is humming in the background. Fonzee is standing right by the coffee table and sniffing the flower arrangement with dedicated focus. He actually tries to grab some of the berry-like decorations with his mouth, but that’s when Mom tells him to “leave it” in a firm voice. Instead of listening. He lets out a tiny whine and nudges the vase further away.
He is clearly “uninterested in leaving it” as the caption says. This dog looks back at his mom and lets out a long, loud complaint about the unfairness of her command. The situation quickly turns into a vocal standoff. Fonzee continues to look at the stems adoringly before wailing again. It actually turns into a tantrum.
One viewer joked that he is likely thinking this house is a prison. He tries to negotiate with more whines, but Mom stays stern with her commands. He answers her back immediately with a huff. It is pure sass at this point. He even tries to use his puppy eyes from behind the leaves to melt her heart, but it doesn’t work.
The most hilarious part happens when Fonzee finally gives up on the argument. He realizes he isn’t getting his way and enters full sulk mode. First, he sighs, and then slowly lowers his head and rests his heavy chin right on the glass tabletop. “OMG. The chin on the table is the best,” one commenter noted about his dramatic pose.
