A dog mom brought a toy for someone other than her Golden Retriever, and this video shows how that was a bad idea. Instagram user @sillymooseymood shared the video featuring Moose the Golden Retriever, who saw the shopping bag on the floor and decided that the new toy belonged to him because who else would mom get it for? But the only problem is that his mom actually bought the toy for someone else. Moose could not accept that answer.

In the video, the Golden Retriever hovers near a bag with the toy inside — a blue Stitch plushie — while his mom tells him it is not for him. The toy acts as a temptation, and Moose cannot help but give in to it. The on-screen caption spells out how serious he took it, revealing, “my dog threw a tantrum for AN HOUR last night because I wouldn’t give him the stitch that I didn’t buy for him.”
Moose’s mom tries to set a boundary, telling him, “No, he’s not for you.” Moose answers by swiping his paw at the bag, but she repeats herself, reminding the Golden Retriever, “No. He’s not for you, he’s for somebody else.”
Moose stares with a wagging tail, and then barks back in protest. When that does not work, he tries the puppy face while growling a little, waiting for approval like he expects his mom to cave. She does not. Instead, Moose’s mom tells him, “You can’t have it,” and the dog responds by jumping and growling, then hovering over the toy bag again, whining and grumbling toward the end of the video.
Viewers were on Moose’s side. One wrote, “I think I speak for everyone on the internet… dats hiz. You givz,” while another demanded, “GIB IT. ITS HIS.” A third commenter joked, “Yes peta. My human wont give me the toy that isnt mine. I know right,” adding, “Send help.”
Moose may not have gotten the Stitch in that moment, but he planned to argue his case until someone listened.
