Rescue Dog Struggles To Eat Blueberries Until Dad Gently Shows Him How

The Instagram handle @cactustherescue just dropped a new clip, and it is honestly such a sweet one. Cactus is this amazing rescue dog who made the move from the CA desert to Florida, and he’s still getting used to the “good life” in Miami. His dad is right there helping him out with everything, even the small stuff. The whole video is just the sweet Rescue dog trying to be a polite boy while his dad offers him blueberries. It’s not always easy when you have a big mouth and a tiny berry.

Rescue dog learns how to gently eat blueberries from dad in this wholesome video

The footage opens with Cactus just lounging on the couch. His dad is right there beside him and is filming when he asks the rescue dog if he wants a “special snacky.” Then we see him offer Cactus a single blueberry on the palm of his hand. Cactus’ huge ears stand straight up like a bunny when he sees it.

He is definitely excited for the treat, but the in-video text explains the real struggle here. Apparently, this pup really finds it hard to eat blueberries, mostly because they are just so tiny. Next, Dad holds the fruit between his thumb and finger and tells Cactus to be “gentle.”

The pup tries to grab it. But the fruit is too small for the big bite he was going for. He really tries to be careful, and his dad keeps saying “gentle” while Cactus opens his mouth. He eventually takes it while dad is still holding on. When the fruit finally makes it into his mouth, he does tiny, sweet chomps to chew it up. It’s like chewing ASMR.

“Cactus, you’re so sweet,” his dad says and gives him some proud pats for finishing the snack. One viewer pointed out he looks like a “cuddliest bunny kangaroo combo.” Another person mentioned they have to squish the blueberries for their own dog. It makes it way easier for them to eat, so maybe Michael should try that next time.
