Shelter Dog Left With Only Days To Live Still Has a Lot More Love To Give

Belmont has spent a year waiting for someone to notice him at the Yucca Valley Animal Shelter, and now the sweet three-year-old dog is running out of time. Despite his long stay and concerns about his hips, Belmont still greets people warmly and shows that he has plenty of love to give.

Shelter dog in the euthanasia list shows how lovable he is

The black Labrador mix looks happy, playful, and eager for attention in shelter videos. But behind his cheerful expression is a dog who has waited far too long for someone to choose him. Belmont has been at the shelter for roughly one year, and the long stay has taken its toll. A recent visit showed him walking outside with a handler, taking in the surroundings, and enjoying a break from his kennel.

At just 3 years old, Belmont should have plenty of time ahead. However, the shelter now says he may have only days left. His situation deeply upset the person who visited him. “I left the Yucca Valley animal shelter today in pieces,” the caption read. The visitor said Belmont deserves a safe home where he can relax and show his true personality.

Belmont’s hip health remains a concern. The shelter fears constant jumping in his kennel could worsen the problem. Finding him a home or safe placement is now even more urgent. Anyone interested in adopting or rescuing Belmont can contact the Yucca Valley Animal Shelter at 4755 Malin Way, Yucca Valley, CA 92284, or call (760) 365-3111. After a year at the shelter, this three-year-old dog deserves a loving home.

Belmont’s story has already touched viewers, with many people urging someone to step forward before his deadline arrives. One user wrote, “I hope he is seen and saved.” Another called him a “perfect, sweet, beautiful angel” and insisted that he needed to be saved.

“He’s so handsome!!! Don’t give up on him!! Let him live and be loved,” another viewer pleaded. Someone else described Belmont as “probably one of the best dogs I’ve ever seen” and added that he deserves the chance to live his life.
