Ritz, a Golden Retriever puppy, is really trying to be a good boy during his training session in Texas. But his body is just vibrating with excitement. Ritz is already on the floor when the video starts. His mom gives him the “stay” command, but he is only a tiny puppy, and there is so much energy in his body that his paws start twitching. It actually looks like he is playing the piano and is hitting all the right keys.
All this while, he keeps blinking at his mom innocently. His paws are doing their own thing, and this makes his mom laugh. She tells him to stay, but his feet won’t stop moving. Mom asks him why he is playing the piano. Something in her voice makes him think he can break the command, so he just jumps up at her. Mom exclaims, “Oh my goodness” in the clip. Then she gets him to sit down.
Training puppies is a long, winding road, full of ups and downs. It requires patience, repetiveness and lots of positive reinforcement. But it has its share of comic moments, like this one.
