Dog Helps Owner Carry Baby’s Stuff Up the Stairs

The transition from being the “only child” to becoming a big brother can be a lot to handle, yet Boston is making it look easy. The Australian Shepherd lives in British Columbia with his family and clearly loves being part of the team. Over at @bostontheaustralianshepherd, his fans are used to seeing him explore the Sunshine Coast. But now he has a new job inside the house. This dog really wants to help his owner with the heavy lifting, and the video shows him doing just that.

The dog is dedicated to a task he assigned to himself

The video is shot from the top of the staircase, and we see a dad carrying the baby up in a car seat. Boston is also right on his heels, and he is holding a diaper caddy by the handles. He looks so focused on keeping everything balanced while he climbs. This Australian Shepherd has a natural drive to work, so he probably loves having a specific task.

He has to splay his front legs out quite a bit to make sure nothing spills onto the carpet. It is a really tricky move for a pup, but he manages to get to the top without dropping a single item. The in-video text tells us what is going on in Boston’s mind. It says his dad originally asked him if he could “caddy” for him. But what Boston probably didn’t realize was that it was a diaper caddy instead of the golf kind.

Even if it’s not the caddy he had in mind, Boston looks so diligent as he reaches the landing. You can see the determination in his eyes. One viewer pointed out “the way he readjusted his legs” to stay steady. It is honestly the cutest big brother behavior.

The reel is blowing up and already has over 4.8K likes in just a few hours. People are obsessed with how much he wants to be involved. One fan joked that being a big sibling is tough work. But he seems happy just to be by dad and the baby. Someone else mentioned that this dog is such a caring and diligent pup. That he is, good job, Boston!
