The first shot shows the furball lying completely flat on the floor on his back for one reason — his shoes. He knows that his favorite pair are indicators of walk time, and they require him to be still. This video shows the Golden Retriever just blinking at the ceiling while his dad handles the prep work for shoes.
Golden Retriever doesn’t move while dad puts on shoes for him
The Golden Retriever’s dad is bent right over him while he works on the front paws, and Gunnar is just being a total sweetheart about the whole thing. Most dogs would be spinning in circles or jumping around right before a walk, but he just lets the boots go on and waits for the straps to get tightened up. His dad even takes the time to press on the soles and make sure the fit is just right.
And then it is time for the back legs. Gunnar just rolls onto his side and watches his brother Jack, who is a black Labrador, bounce around in the background. Jack is clearly the hype man for the group, or he is just very excited for his walk time, too. But Gunnar stays focused on the task at hand because he really wants to get moving.
Golden Retrievers are famously eager to please, and this guy is definitely earning some extra treats for his behavior. He doesn’t wiggle or pull away even once while the last few straps are secured. The clip has already racked up over 2.3K likes, and people are just obsessed with his patience.
