Bruce is a master of the expectant stare over at @san_diego_bruce. And in this video, he is sitting on the kitchen runner looking like the world’s best boy. As we learn in the video, that’s because this floofy Golden Retriever wants the meat sitting on the counter. Of course, it does not matter that it is currently a solid block of ice.

Mom is trying to explain the situation to him. She tells him he does not understand what he is begging for. And then she pans the camera over to the defrosting table. A frozen steak, which is rock hard, is sitting on the table. Regardless, Bruce is just staring expectantly at Mom, and he does not even blink.
Mom tells him, “you can’t eat that buddy.” However, he is just looking at her with those big hopeful eyes. “I’m gonna need you to explain w h y,” his owner said in the caption, guessing what Bruce was thinking in the moment. He is always enthusiastic about food, even his daily kibble. So, this piece of meat is a massive deal.
