Video: Owner Shows What Cleaning House With Dogs Looks Like

Trying to keep a house spotless with dogs can feel like a never-ending mission. Just when you think you’re making progress, a wagging tail, muddy paw, or shredded toy appears out of nowhere. And somehow your dogs always seem deeply invested in whatever chore you’re doing. A recent video by a dog owner, @daisythegoldiee, accurately captures that funny reality of cleaning with pups in the house.

Dogs are always there when owner tries to clean house

The video features Daisy and Maple, two Golden Retriever sisters who appear determined to stay involved in every step of their owner’s cleaning routine. As the onscreen text reads, “POV: you’re trying to clean the house with dogs,” the owner moves through various chores while the dogs trail closely behind her.

Throughout the clip, the pair’s curiosity becomes the main source of the chaos. When the owner begins wringing out a mop, both dogs gather nearby to observe closely. As she moves to the sink to clean, the dogs remain glued to her side, peeking and sniffing as she works.

The situation becomes even more challenging when she tries to tidy up the floors. While sweeping away piles of dog fur, the Golden Retrievers casually sit right in the middle of the area she is attempting to clean. Their relaxed posture suggests they are perfectly content being part of the process, even if it slows things down.

Mopping the floor brings another round of interruptions. Just moments after the owner finishes cleaning a section, Daisy and Maple stroll across the freshly mopped surface, leaving behind new paw prints and undoing her progress. In the caption, the owner jokingly explains the dogs’ behavior, writing that they simply “want to be included in everything.”

Viewers in the comments quickly connected with the situation and shared their own experiences with pets who refuse to stay out of the way during chores. One person joked that the dogs were the “CEOs of being in the middle of any mess they caused.” Another viewer said the video made them feel like an “unpaid butler” constantly cleaning up after their own pets.

Others took a lighter approach, suggesting the dogs were simply being helpful in their own way. One commenter wrote that the pups were probably “checking if mama is doing it right.”
