Moose, a young Golden Retriever, found his own version of screen time when he became completely captivated by a group of hamsters at a pet store. His fascination lasted so long that his human eventually had to accept that leaving the store would have to wait until Moose was ready to stop watching.
Golden Retriever becomes completely mesmerized watching hamsters and refuses to be rushed when it’s time to go home
Moose appeared to have one very important mission during his trip to the pet store: watching the hamsters. In the video, the golden retriever sits directly in front of the small-animal enclosure and stares through the glass. Rather than glancing at the animals and moving along, Moose settles in and continues watching them. The text over the video jokingly captures the situation with the line, “Sir, we’ve been here for 30 minutes.”
The next shot shows how much Moose loves his new hobby. He sits on the store floor in front of the enclosure with his leash beside him, surrounded by pet supplies and small animals. Instead of exploring the store, Moose keeps watching the animals. He wears a straw hat while continuing to stare into the enclosure. Even with his funny new look, Moose seems much more interested in the animals than anything else around him.
The adorable scene quickly resonated with viewers who understood exactly why Moose had no interest in leaving. One user wrote, “Aww he’s just such a good boy!!” Another revealed, “Omg my golden does the same thing! Obsessed.” One amused viewer compared the pet store experience to a shopping trip, writing, “Don’t rush him, this is his Sephora.” Another commented, “Omg he’s so cute…so is the dog.” One viewer admitted that they would have reacted the same way, writing, “I would be mesmerized as well.”
The video comes from the Instagram account @asillygoldenmoose, which shares Moose’s daily adventures. The profile shown in the screenshot had 83 posts, around 26,000 followers, and followed 638 accounts. The account describes Moose as a 1.8-year-old AKC show-line golden retriever. It also focuses on his “big brother era,” along with dog life, family life, and everyday moments.
