Dinner apparently has a very strict appointment on Nauti’s calendar, and being even a little late is not going unnoticed. The cute pup comes charging into the room, sits directly in front of Mom, and makes his complaint very clear with a long “awoo,” a snout boop, and several increasingly impatient barks.
The video shared by @nautidoggo shows the Golden Retriever making sure his dinnertime hasn’t been forgotten. And once Mom finally looks at the clock, he seems pretty pleased with himself and his behavior.
Golden Retriever gives her owner an unmistakable look after realizing dinner is running late
Nauti does not exactly ease into this conversation. He comes running into the room while Mom is already filming and immediately sits down in front of her. Then comes the awoo. Mom explains that she heard him running back there, which is why she started recording. Nauti adds a little snout boop for emphasis before Mom asks what he wants.
His answer seems pretty obvious. The on-screen text from Nauti’s point of view says, “You are late!!!” He follows that with another bark and a very specific request: “Is my DINNER TIME.”
Mom initially checks the clock and says it is not 5:30 yet. Then she looks again. “Oh, it is 5.30.” Nauti’s reaction is immediate. He hops in place, grumbles, and makes another long awoo while the text reads, “Can not be late for this Mumz!”
At this point, there is really no argument left to make. Mom reminds him that he knows his dinner time, and Nauti seems more than happy to confirm it. His response? “Stomach never lies.” Fair enough.
The video has collected 95.4K likes. One viewer joked about dogs’ impressive ability to know the time without looking at a clock. Another imagined the conversation as Nauti insisting, “YES IT IS!” after Mom tried to tell him otherwise.
Once Mom finally agrees that he is hungry, Nauti wastes no time. He heads straight for the feeding station, running ahead and then turning around to make sure she is still coming. That part may be the funniest.
