Who needs kitchen timers when Bentley is on the clock? This Golden Retriever from the Toronto area has very specific standards for dinner. His mom at @thespicygoldenn shared a video from the kitchen where a pot of pasta is boiling on the stove, when the Golden Retriever is summoned.
Bentley has this serious face that makes the whole thing even funnier. He is the official quality control officer. And when mom calls him in to do his job, he looks a little annoyed that his break is being interrupted.
Golden Retriever always checks if the pasta is cooked
Bentley walks into the kitchen a bit grudgingly. The in-video text tells us he’s on his day off. Still, his mom gives him a single strand of spaghetti to test. As a thorough professional, he licks it first. Then the video shows the Golden Retriever analyzing the strand of pasta like a scientist. Next, he takes a bite and makes a face: it is definitely still raw.
This Golden Retriever knows his carbs. He stares at his human with a look that says she still hasn’t learned how to cook pasta correctly. The “pasta expert” tries again on a noodle after a few more minutes. This time, Bentley immediately spits it out on the floor. He looks genuinely disappointed.
The text in the video says he can’t be fooled; he really is a professional. It takes a third try before he finally gives the seal of approval. He gulps the noodle down and starts tapping his paw, which means he wants more. He knows he’s done a good job.
