Golden Retriever Puppy Does This After Owner Disappears for 15 Minutes

In an adorable video from Instagram user @goldenboybrucey, Bruce the Golden Retriever puppy has a message for anyone who thinks 15 minutes is “no big deal” — because it certainly is.

In the short clip, Bruce acts like his owner has returned from a long trip when she comes back after what the onscreen text calls “a whole 15 minutes.” After all, time apart is still time spent alone.

Golden Retriever puppy cuddles with owner in adorable video

The video does not show the Golden Retriever puppy greeting his owner at the door and moving on with his day. Instead, he goes all in. He climbs onto her as she lies on the floor and tucks his face in close like he needs to make sure she does not leave again.

It is just a puppy cuddling his owner, whom he seemingly cannot stay apart from. Besides, his owner does not seem to mind the affection, even captioning the post, “Not complaining though.”

People in the comments recognized Bruce’s “you left me forever” gesture. Several viewers called the pup a total mama’s boy, while others promised this kind of greeting “never changes,” with many people joking that 15 minutes counts as a serious offense.

One comment pointed out that it was “14 minutes too long.” Meanwhile, another commenter spoke on behalf of many pets who have felt at some point — you “must never leave again.”

Bruce’s reaction is true to how puppies usually bond. Canines do not read time the way we do, and young pups attach hard to their people. So when you step out, your dog just notices you are gone. They then only feel relieved when you return. That reunion becomes the best part of their day, so they throw their whole heart into it.

And Bruce, for the record, looks like his way to cope with the situation is to get as close to his owner as possible and stay there until further notice.
