Video: Staffy Knows How to Perfectly Land on Baby’s Stroller

A Blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Tommy has found a new use for a baby stroller, and this hilarious Instagram video from user @tommybluestaff captures it in all its glory. Tommy discovered a way to make family walks a lot easier on himself. And to do so, he simply hops into the baby’s stroller and lets the humans do the work — because who would not enjoy a free ride across the street?

Staffy loves to get on baby’s stroller during walks

In the video, the Blue Staffy pulls off the same move three times in a row, each clip catching him mid-jump as he launches toward the stroller. In fact, he looks like he has trained for it. The on-screen caption asks, “How does he end up in the pram?” and then the video answers the question.

In the stroller, the baby sits under the canopy. This is normal, yes, because that is what strollers are designed for. But Tommy is smart enough to have found a new use for it. He does not stick to walking beside the humans for long. Instead, he aims for the lower section of the stroller and plops inside the undercarriage basket, jumping in like it was built for him.

The caption explains that Tommy did not start out demanding a ride from the first step. At first, they say, he would walk for a while and climb in once he got tired. But now, he wants to jump in right away, and his owners try to keep him out so he gets some exercise first.

Viewers sounded impressed, and Tommy’s behavior did not seem to surprise them. One joked, “Who are you kidding? It was always HIS transportation,” while another wrote, “If the makers didn’t want Tommy to sit there, they wouldn’t have made it perfectly Tommy-sized would they?” And a third commenter stated the obvious, writing, “why walk when you can ride.” And just like that, Tommy decided the stroller was his personal ride.
