Forget the professional athletes on TV because Ollie is currently busy turning her living room into a high-stakes winter Olympics course. She is a 2-year-old Vizsla who works as a therapy dog. That means she has energy for days and a brain that needs a constant job.
Since the real games are far away, her humans at @tara.and.ollie brought the podium to the living room. This video shows her crushing a homemade version of the hurdles like a total pro. She is built for speed and high jumps. And a few obstacles in the hallway were never going to stop her.
Dog shines in homemade winter Olympics
Ollie starts out sitting very still. Her eyes are on the prize. Then she takes off. She clears every single obstacle in the living room. And she does it with so much grace. It is actually impressive to watch. She gets to the end where her human is clapping enthusiastically. She doesn’t even look tired. She just turns around, perhaps for another go. You can see that she is a natural athlete. Her owner called it a “Gold medal performance,” and that seems a hundred percent accurate.
Then the course moves to a long corridor. This part of the video is in slow motion. You can see her long ears flying everywhere. She jumps way higher than she actually needs to. She is just showing off at this point. Rightfully so.
At one point she is just a blur of orange fur in the air. One viewer asked where they could buy tickets. Another said it is the only event they actually want to watch.
Over 5,000 people have liked the clip already. People are obsessed with how high the therapy dog jumps. One person even rated the performance a perfect 10/10. She looks so proud in every single frame. It is way more fun than watching the actual games on TV. Winter Olympics or not, this dog definitely earned her spot on the podium and every frame of the video is proof.
