Video: Dog Does This to Hide From Golden Retriever Brother

When there are two pets, things can become chaotic for owners. But what if one of the fur babies wants a break? This Instagram video shows an owner assuming that her Australian Shepherd wants to hide from her Golden Retriever. It looks like the two siblings share a close bond, but August seems to want a break from his brother, Indy. Therefore, the Aussie tries to hide himself in a cardboard box. In the caption, the pet parent explains, “Our Australian Shepherd is either taunting his little Golden Retriever brother, or he really does need a break from him. I honestly can’t tell.”

Dog tricks his Golden Retriever brother by hiding in a box

In a funny and adorable Instagram video, an owner shows how her Australian Shepherd, August, tricks his Golden Retriever brother, Indy, into hiding from him. The clip begins with the owner entering a room while asking Indy about his sibling’s whereabouts. So, the pooch guides her to a corner.

Indy points in the direction of a huge cardboard box. The camera captures the box, with August’s face peeking out. “Why are you in the box?” the dog mom asks. The Aussie doesn’t feel like coming out of it, hinting at his hidden intention. Witnessing Indy’s bark, the dog mom tells August that the latter’s behavior makes the Golden Retriever “upset.”

However, August’s reaction makes the owner laugh. She thinks that he is trying to trick Indy and hide from him to take a break. Assuming the Aussie’s thoughts, the dog mom says, “I can’t tell you do this to him [Indy] on purpose or if you are really trying to get away from him.” She adds that she finds it “awful cute.”

Meanwhile, during the conversation, August looks at his dog mom, presumably in agreement with her remarks. On the other hand, Indy tries to stick close to his brother and attempts to get inside the box with him. Overall, the Golden Retriever brother’s hide video comes across as a hilarious clip.
