A diet rich in greens is a great way to help dogs manage weight, increase fiber intake, and boost essential nutrients like vitamins A, C, and K. However, it is easier said than done, as not every pooch loves to eat green leafy vegetables. Even this dog mom is trying her best to get her canines to like spinach in this video, but their reaction to eating spinach is unlike anything that has left the paw parent surprised.
Dogs’ reaction to spinach is unique in every way
Be it humans or dogs, eating greens is key to maintaining good health. However, not everyone is fond of green leafy vegetables. For instance, these adorable pups, Snookie and Ivy. Their paw parent is doing her best to get them to taste spinach, but the pup’s reaction says it all.
Uploaded on @sookieandivy, an old clip of the pooches shows them sitting across the table wearing a crocheted spinach hairband, wondering what the paw parent has to offer.
The mom introduces them to spinach and tries to find out, “do spinach eat spinach.” At first, when the parent shows them the leafy vegetable, the pups sniff and do a taste test. But when the mom feeds them spinach, the pups immediately turn it down. Ivy even walks away from the table after staring at mom with disappointment.
Looking at their reaction, the mom is sure that “spinach do not eat spinach.” She even asks the pups’ opinion, and they surely let her know by saying it’s “FILTH” and “ghastly.”
However, the mom tries again, and this time the pups try to eat the vegetable but instantly reject it. After a lot of “testing me-a-thon,” Ivy does chew on the leaves only to move away from the table later. Looking at her canines’ unlikely reaction, the owner asks them not to get mad at her and promises, “we’ll never do spinach again.”
The pup’s reaction even left the netizens laughing, with one saying, “The Lawd is testing me… an Ivy Classic.” While another person said, “This is hilarious!.” The dog and its spinach-eating video has so far fetched more than 13K likes at the time of writing.
