Video: Dog Goes From No Zoomies in Snow to Full Zoomies

Butter Beer 8th, the titular Corgi in an adorable Instagram video, had a problem after the winter snowstorm — the snow got too deep for his daily zoomies — and for a dog with places to be, that simply would not do. Instagram user @bb8.thecorgi shared the video, showing the dog going from stuck due to the snow to fully living his best zoomies life. And it is all thanks to a handmade “zoomies race track” carved right into the yard.

Corgi gets a zoomies track built after a snowstorm

The video’s on-screen caption explains the whole situation: “Sad news our corgi was devastated because the heavy snow didn’t let him do his regular zoomies after the winter snow storm.” But the good news comes in with, “So we made him a personal corgi zoomies race track.” The on-screen text then asks, “Will he like it?” — and safe to say, he definitely liked it a lot as the text continues, “Watch and enjoy the corgi zoomies.”

Then the dog goes into full zoomies mode on the cleared-out circular track that loops around like a tiny dog marathon path. Once Butter Beer hits the path, he takes off in tight and speedy laps. He turns and twists like he has trained for this his whole life. His little legs pump, and he keeps circling like his life depends on it.

In the caption, the owners admit the whole project came at a cost. They wrote, “Anything for our beloved corgi to have his regular zoomies run. It was worth the back ache from shoveling.” Viewers loved every bit of it. One person praised the owners, “Well done that is a good zoomies track you’ve built.” Another added, “Good job hoomans!”

Zoomies usually show up when dogs feel excited or just loaded with extra energy. Some dogs, like Butter Beer in this video, may have a favorite route when they get going.
