Dog Dropping Toys Into Brother’s Play Pen Has a Cute Backstory

If you have kids and pets, you’re probably used to finding random things in places they don’t belong. The Derise family in New Jersey kept finding extra plushies and balls mixed in with their son’s gear.

At first, Erica and Frank were just confused and kept tossing them back onto the pup’s bed. Eventually, they caught the culprit on camera and posted the video on their account, @beaunosebones. It turns out their Golden Retriever, Beau, was the one responsible. He’s been sneaking his favorite toys into the play area to share them with his little brother.

Dog shares toys with brother in viral video

The video opens with the family’s baby hanging out in his pack ’n play, toys scattered around him. On-screen text explains that Beau’s toys kept showing up in there, and at first, no one thought much of it. The parents would just take them out and move on. A ball here. A plushie there. Mystery unresolved.

Then the parents started paying closer attention. In one shot, we see Beau perched on the couch beside the playpen, sweetly dropping his toys over the railing, right into his baby brother’s space. Then we see him repeat the maneuver on other days, with different toys..

The video then rewinds the story a bit, showing Beau long before his brother arrived — padding into the nursery with toys in his mouth, placing them near the crib like he was preparing the room himself. Again, different plushies for different days but the same adorable pattern.

We even see him walk into the nursery when his baby brother was just a newborn and drop a plushie near his feet. Later, the two of them are curled up together, the toy also in the frame, like it somehow completes the picture. The in-video text sums it up best: “It’s heartwarming to think that this moment was just a sneak peek into the way they would play together today.” And play together, they definitely do.

The caption says: “The start of their brotherhood…” and judging by the comments — from people calling Beau the goodest boy to predicting future mischief — everyone else can see it too.
