Some dogs simply cannot tolerate being left out of anything. They even treat human workouts less like exercise routines and more like open invitations to start a full-body cuddle session. Honig, the Golden Retriever, fits this description a little too perfectly. In the video shared by @_linnea.s, his parents are just trying to ease into a peaceful yoga session in the living room when he decides the day’s agenda has changed.
The onscreen text even teases, “When people ask me why I don’t do home workouts,” (translated from German), and within seconds, it makes total sense. Honig immediately inserts himself into the moment like an honorary instructor who refuses to be ignored.

This ridiculously funny video of a Golden Retriever doing yoga has captured everyone’s attention online, racking up laughter across the internet. As soon as his dad leans into a bear-plank, Honig walks over and parks himself right in the middle of the formation like this is where he’s been needed all along.
When his dad transitions into the cobra pose, Honig tries to wedge his head between his arms and chest. He’s determined to squeeze into the tiniest sliver of space until he succeeds. His parents break into laughter, but he’s unfazed — this is clearly extremely serious work.
Every new pose becomes a fresh opportunity for interference. When both parents stretch their legs, Honig plops straight into his dad’s lap. This prompts a pained wince that immediately turns into laughter. He stares up at his mom like he’s waiting for her to explain why this is funny. Then he lets out a huge yawn, clearly confused but committed.
His mom stands to touch her toes, and he casually settles himself between the gap in her limbs. And even gives her a surprise tail-whack to the face on his way out — yes, there’s a slow-mo replay. Moments later, he reappears with a toy, making it clear the workout should shift into playtime instead.
Eventually, his dad pulls him into a backward hug, which freezes Honig in bliss. Any attempt at yoga after that is doomed. By the time he drapes his whole upper body over his dad’s stretching leg, it’s obvious — no exercises are happening here except the exercise of loving this very enthusiastic “assistant.”
