Video: Dog Enters His Pumpkins in Village Competition & Wins

Don’t you just love it when a plan comes full circle — especially when it involves a dog, some homegrown pumpkins, and a village fair, as can be seen in this video. Ollie, the ever-dedicated garden helper from @good.boy.ollie, isn’t just a casual participant in this year’s show — he’s the proud individual behind the pumpkins themselves.

Carrying one of his “babies” in a basket, the Labrador sets off with his human to the local competition, tail wagging like he already knows he’s about to make everyone’s day. This is indeed the same Ollie who planted his pumpkin patch months ago — and now it’s show time.

Dog wins many titles while enrolling his pumpkins in village competition in video

The now viral clip opens with Ollie the Labrador proudly carrying the baby pumpkin he helped grow and harvest in his basket, a familiar sight to anyone who saw his previous video. The in-video text sets the stage: “Entering my dog’s pumpkins into the village competition.”

We see Ollie posing with his harvested produce. He then walks beside the wagon carrying his bounty to the village show. The text notes, “He’s very proud of his pumpkin babies,” and he certainly looks the part. Once at the show, Ollie and his human realize the competition is fierce. A “LOT of” competitors were laid out on the tables.

Since they weren’t allowed to watch the judging, they decided to enter the dog show while they waited. “Ollie tried SO hard to be beautiful,” and his efforts were rewarded. He won the “First” badge and the “Best Veteran” title. He poses proudly with all his winning badges from the dog show.

Later, he walks back to the vegetable competition, with his badges clipped to his leash and one held in his mouth, to “check on the pumpkins.” Though there was tough competition, Ollie’s small pumpkins won third place. He jumps and takes the badge right in his mouth.

The video ends with the “Pumpkin King,” as one commentator called him, posing beside his prize-winning produce. He looks absolutely content because who needs a trophy when you’ve grown your own happiness?
