There’s nothing quite as tragic as watching someone else eat pancakes — just ask the Leos, the two Golden Retrievers who share a name. In a video posted by @twogoldenleos, these Denver-based pups face the ultimate test of patience.
On the table sits a half-eaten pancake, and both Leos can’t take their eyes off it. You can almost see the thought bubble in their head: “Why is that pancake not for me?” Their mom’s caption says it best: “Has never had a pancake but also cannot comprehend why these wouldn’t be for him?” And truly, the confusion on the dogs’ face is priceless.

A few more soft growls follow before Leo covers his eyes with a paw. Almost as if the sight of the pancake and not getting to eat them is too much for his heart to bear. He truly is overcome by the injustice of it all. Just when you think he’s given up, Leo gives his mom the most unimpressed look imaginable and lets out a single bark, the canine version of “enough.”
Then he walks over to join his brother, also named Leo, who’s sitting beside their mom on the couch, staring at the plate with the same mix of longing and hope. Together, the two Golden Retriever boys sit shoulder to shoulder, half drooling, half pleading. They present a united front in the quest for breakfast rights.
