For many, working from home is all about juggling productivity and comfort. But that comfort can quickly spiral into chaos when your furry coworker insists on paying attention to their own schedule. In a recent video, a Golden Retriever puppy reminded his owner that sometimes, the only thing that is more important than work is keeping your four-legged boss happy.
Puppy’s plans for owner working from home include shutting the laptop and resting on it
A Golden Retriever puppy from Upstate New York recently captured hearts on Instagram when he interrupted his owner’s work-from-home session. As his mom typed away on her laptop, Aspen decided it was time for a break.
With a gentle but firm paw, he shut her laptop and rested his head on it, looking at her as if to say, “Stop working and play with me.” The moment was perfectly captured in a video, which included a playful text overlay reading, “When you try to do work from home but your puppy has other plans.”
Captioned “He’s standing on business,” the short clip quickly went viral, amassing over 730K views and more than 30K likes. One viewer called Aspen a “pawcrastinator,” joking that he had mastered the art of interrupting work. Another quipped, “Someone has to set the priority right!” Many fans laughed at Aspen’s assertiveness, with one exclaiming, “Mom!! That’s enough!”
Golden Retrievers are famously friendly and full of personality, which is probably why they’re such popular family dogs. They’re smart, eager to please, and love being around people. As such, they often follow their owners from room to room just to be part of the action. Known for their playful energy and gentle temperament, they get along with kids, other pets, and pretty much anyone they meet. At the same time, their affectionate nature means they can be clingy and will happily demand attention in the cutest ways.
