Video: Foster Mom’s Boyfriend ‘Falls in Love’ With Tripod Dog

There are certain dogs that can walk into a room and change the entire atmosphere in seconds. Tre, a sweet tripod pup, has that kind of magic. He may only have three legs, but what he lacks in limbs he more than makes up for with pure warmth. In a recent TikTok video, Tre doesn’t just steal the spotlight — he steals a man’s heart. The clip shows the moment a foster mom’s boyfriend meets Tre for the first time, and it’s safe to say it was love at first sight for both of them.

Viewers have been showering the clip with likes and comments since it was posted. The video opens with the boyfriend heading into the kitchen, where Tre waits behind a gate. Without hesitation, he goes straight to greet him, completely ignoring the other dogs in the background. “Oh my gosh, oh my goodness, hello,” he gushes, clearly smitten.

Curious about Tre’s story, he listens as his girlfriend explains that Tre had been a stray with an injured leg that required amputation. That doesn’t slow down the pup’s spirit one bit. When the boyfriend hops the gate, Tre bounds over happily and climbs into his lap, tail wagging nonstop.

“You’re the sweetest thing ever,” the man says while Tre showers him with kisses. At one point, he even asks, “Are we best friends?” The couple shares a sweet laugh as the girlfriend reveals Tre’s name — a nod to his three legs.

From forehead scritches to endless snuggles, the bond is instant and undeniable. The girlfriend’s off-camera remark, “He’s happy,” sums it up perfectly as Tre looks up at her with a big smile.

By the end of the video, there’s no question this pup has found a place in both of their hearts — and maybe even a forever home? As one comment read, “Oh no! This has me so close to saying that one thing we shouldn’t say to doggie foster parents.” Another user said, “The way I would ”Foster FAIL” so QUICKLY with this PUPPY!” Clearly, we’re all thinking the same thing.
