Ollie, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, has a charming way of signaling to his mom that he’s ready for affection. In a clip shared on his Instagram account, @olliecorgibaby, the pup is lounging on the floor when his owner approaches. The moment her hand hovers closer to his belly, Ollie locks eyes with her and then slowly tips onto his back. He exposes his fluffy underside like he knows exactly what’s about to happen.
The timing is almost comical. Just as his mom’s hand moves in, Ollie rolls back at the same pace. Once in position, he closes his eyes, fully surrendering to the belly rubs that follow. His mom strokes him gently, while Ollie looks completely at peace, soaking up every second of the affection.
The comments section quickly turned into a gathering place for Corgi owners swapping notes. One laughed, “What’s funnier is that he lay on his back just as slowly as your approach too,” pointing out the hilarious synchronization.
