On February 17, a user named @smokeyandmaia took to their Instagram to share an adorable video of their dog named Smokey. The profile managed by the mom, Maia, is dedicated to the pup’s day, from the morning routine to his cute birthday celebrations. In the video, the owner decides to help the Pug socialize with other canines. She understands her pet’s feelings and states in the caption, “Being social is hard.”
The reel begins with the owner writing “Pep talk for my socially awkward pug before trying to make friends:”. She tells Smonkey she wants him to know she believes the pup can form new friendships. The human adds that the dog has every bit of ability to make new friends. As a result, the duo starts walking over to the canines. The mom tells Smokey that she would be happy to go home, but if he wants, they can try communicating with the fellow .
Further, the dog looks around to find many pooches, and the mom suggests he play instead of looking. Suddenly, a few dogs start coming closer to Smokey, and the owner feels the latter likes this gesture as he wags his tail. The parent also advises her pup to be friends with a Corgi laying around or to greet other poochies. The mom is overall happy with her dog’s socializing efforts. She tells him that interacting for 3 or 2 and a half minutes is better than no socializing, so his efforts were a big success.
