Project Meher (MAW Foundation), a shelter for blind rescues, shared a heartwarming video on Instagram of their blind cat, Obi, and his seeing-eye dog, Khwab. The clip captured the furry friends in a fun moment while they played to their “hearts’ content.” The shelter shared that Obi, who was born blind and diabetic, gets to play “joyfully and fearlessly” while getting “gently guided” by Khwab.
The feline’s seeing-eye puppy “barks and nudges him with so much love, calling him to play.” The video gave a glimpse of the same during one of Obi and Khwab’s playtime sessions. The duo was going around a staircase in circles while playing. Every time Obi stopped, Khwab went back and softly barked to give him some direction so they could continue their game of chase.
The sweet canine even checked up on Obi constantly as they played together. Khwab would gently call the feline to play and patiently wait for him to follow. The shelter’s staff melted over the duo’s bond, writing in the Instagram Reel’s caption, “My heart just melts watching how she includes him.” They added, “Some friendships don’t need sight or words… just heart.”
