Video Shows How Similar Dog Dad & Son Are

You know how they say kids copy everything their parents do? That goes for dogs too, apparently. From mimicking mannerisms to teaming up for mischief, it turns out canine family traits can be surprisingly strong. A new Instagram video is showing just how closely one dog mirrors his dad. It’s hard to tell who’s leading whom.

Instagram video shows Doberman dad and son behaving alike with owner

Dobermans Knox and Junior, a father and son pair, have gone viral on Instagram due to their uncannily similar behavior. The video begins with the owner sitting at a table, about to take a bite of pizza. Just as the slice gets close to his mouth, both Knox and Junior appear in perfect sync. They give him matching puppy dog eyes in hopes of scoring a bite.

In another scene, the owner is vacuuming the floor when both dogs stroll down the hallway, each gripping one end of a cardboard box. It is clear they are on a mission, though not exactly a helpful one. Sighing, the owner follows behind, suspecting mischief as he tries to intercept whatever plan the dogs have in mind for the box.

The antics continue when the owner is relaxing on the couch. Out of nowhere, Knox shows up with one of the owner’s socks in his mouth. Moments later, Junior trots in with another. When the owner tries to retrieve the sock from Knox, Junior steps in to “help” by pulling too, almost like a coordinated team effort. One of the funniest parts of the video comes at the end. Both dogs are seen quietly creeping up behind their owner in slow motion, like two stealthy shadows in perfect sync.

From laughing emojis to calls for more videos, the comments section turned into a fan club for Knox and Junior, with many saying they had never seen dogs mirror each other quite this accurately. One user wrote, “You know what they say?! The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” Another joked, “You named him Junior and didn’t expect similarities?” Perhaps for Knox and Junior, “Like father, like son” is not just a saying; it is a way of life.
