The roar of Formula 1 engines is unmistakable — and apparently, contagious. One rescue dog is making headlines after a video captured her mimicking the sound of an F1 race car. With her eyes on the screen and her voice revving into gear, this Border Collie may not have a license. But, she’s giving every F1 driver a run for their money.
Rescue Border Collie mimics F1 car sounds in Instagram video
An Instagram video shared by user @itsmalcontent has viewers in stitches after their Border Collie, Mal, stole the show with her impression of an F1 car. The clip begins with Mal excitedly darting around her owner, clearly fired up about something. Her owner says, laughing at the commotion, “What are you doing? You’re going crazy today.” Then comes the moment that caught the internet’s attention: Mal lets out a long, high-pitched howl that sounds remarkably like the whine of an F1 engine.
The owner then turns to the TV, which is showing a Grand Prix in progress, and asks, “What noise does the F1 car make?” Right on cue, Mal responds with another spot-on “vroom vroom.” The caption reads, “Enjoying Grand Prix Sunday,” and judging by Mal’s enthusiasm, she might be gunning for pole position.
With over 275K views and 18K likes, the reel had dog lovers and racing fans equally entertained. Comments poured in with jokes and admiration. One viewer wrote, “Mal says ‘vroooo..ooooom’ that’s what sound F1 cars make.” Another added, “She is beauty, she is grace, she is going to win this F1 race.” And someone else chimed in with, “That should be the horn for all cars.”
Mal may not be taking to the track anytime soon, but she’s already proven she can keep up with the best of them, at least when it comes to sound effects.
