Mama Foster Dog, Worried About Her Babies, Rushes To Check on Them as Soon as They’re Home

The first thing Kiara wanted to know had nothing to do with her foster home. She had one question on her mind: Are my babies okay? This sweet clip, shared by @mythologicaldogs, follows a mama foster dog arriving home with her babies. But she is still wary of every tiny detail even after being rescued. It only takes a few minutes to understand that this sweet girl wasn’t worried about herself at all. Once she realized her little family was safe, though, her whole body seemed to relax.

The video opens with Kiara sitting alert in the back seat of the car. A blue tub holding her puppies rests behind her. Her foster mom, Laurel, gently asks, “Where are we?” before reassuring her, “We’re home. Mama has a home.” Kiara keeps looking around, taking everything in.

She enters the home first, but the moment the tub is carried inside, Kiara follows it. She climbs into the tub and immediately checks each of her puppies. Laurel laughs softly and tells her, “I told you they were okay.” Only after seeing every little one safe does Kiara wag her tail, hop back out, and finally greet the people trying so hard to help her.

Kiara then cautiously explores the house before happily hopping onto the couch when invited. Later, she melts into sweet head scratches from Laurel’s partner while her puppies nap soundly nearby in their cozy new bed.

The caption reveals that Kiara is already potty trained, house trained, knows several commands, and has quickly shown herself to be “one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever met.” Earlier posts also explained that she and her litter were found abandoned at a car wash, with the puppies left inside a bag before the entire family was rescued from an overcrowded shelter.

The video has already picked up more than 17,000 likes, and viewers have fallen just as hard for Kiara. One person wrote, “Mama has no idea how good her and the kids are about to have it!” Looking at her happily accepting belly rubs while her puppies sleep peacefully beside her, it’s hard to disagree.
