Glen Powell was influenced by his “Twisters” co-star Anthony Ramos to get a dog. The 35-year-old actor adopted an adorable puppy named Brisket in 2023. It is a Terrier Poodle mix dog. However, he initially did not have a pet dog when the filming of “Twisters” had begun. In fact, Powell was considering whether to get a pet dog while he was on the set. Ramos shared the exciting anecdote in his latest interview.
Anthony Ramos reveals how Glen Powell ended up adopting Brisket
In a recent interview with People Magazine, Ramos revealed that seeing his dog Prince roam around the set of “Twisters” motivated Powell to adopt Brisket. The dog has been winning hearts on the internet since Powell introduced him on his Instagram in July last year.
During the interview, Ramos shared an intriguing story. He explained, “I remember when Glen was on set, and he was thinking about getting a dog.” The actor continued, “Prince would be around all the time, and he (Powell) was like, ‘Yo, bro, you think I should do it?'”
As revealed by Ramos, everybody on the film’s set told him it would be great for Powell to get a furry friend. He disclosed, “And everyone was like, ‘Yeah, bro, it’s a lot of responsibility, but it’s great, man. It’s great if you could swing it.'” The actor further gushed about Brisket by saying that he “is the perfect size to travel with him.” Ramos added, “He’s such a sweet dog. He’s super fun.”
The “In the Heights” actor further jokingly expressed his wish to have both their pets—Brisket and Prince—together if there were a sequel to “Twisters.”
