Doug the Pug Introduces New Little Sister Rescue Dog ‘Dory’

Doug the Pug now has a little sister named Dory. The senior canine’s owners took to Instagram to introduce the newest addition to their family, a rescue dog from Tiny Paws Pug Rescue. Dory was first introduced to Doug’s millions of followers on May 23. Since then, her brother has been sharing the spotlight with her.

Doug the Pug’s parents started looking for a companion for the senior dog after one of them was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Leslie Mosier and Rob Chianelli had a tough time adjusting to Rob’s diagnosis. However, they decided a new addition to the family was just what they needed to brighten things up.

Moreover, the internet-famous dog was also ready for a friend, as the pet parents noticed he was quick to befriend Birdie, the Boston Terrier, who they were pet-sitting. Adopting from an animal rescue was their top choice as they wanted to use their platform to encourage adopting rescues.

Finally, in May, the family of three came across their fourth member on Instagram. She was a little Pug from Tiny Paws Pug Rescue. Dory the Pug’s resemblance to Doug caught Leslie and Rob’s eyes, and the family knew they had to bring her home. Dory is only one year old and was rescued after being dumped in a field. Before being rescued, she had given birth to a litter of puppies, per People.

Once the family met Dory, they were all the more certain she was meant to be a part of their family. The one-year-old Pug is adjusting well to her big brother’s spotlight, accompanying him to events. Moreover, the dogs are adjusting well to each other and lying on top of each other. While Doug is a star, Leslie and Rob plan to encourage adopting rescues with the help of Dory.
