Stolen Puppy Returned by Disguised Man to Pet Store in Texas

On April 16, a man in disguise returned a stolen Shiba Inu puppy to Petland Frisco, Texas. The canine was stolen over the weekend and returned safely after three days. A quick scan of the microchip verified that it was the same dog.

A woman stole an 11-week-old Shiba Inu puppy from Petland Frisco on April 13, per Fox 4. Security cameras captured the woman walking out of the pet store with the black and white puppy in hand. Fortunately, the store had already microchipped the dog, so a scan would have revealed that she had been stolen.

However, a man covered from head to toe safely returned the female pup on Tuesday evening. The man wore a mask and sunglasses and left her with the staff. The vet immediately examined the dog to check if she was healthy and confirmed that she was. The Shiba Inu was “given a clean bill of health,” per CBS.

The kennel manager noted that the staff were “extremely worried” for the canine. Marce Narváez said, “We didn’t know if she was eating, if she was drinking water or playing. We feel they are our family more than puppies…”

On the day the Shiba Inu puppy was stolen, the suspect walked into Petland Frisco with a wig on, asking if she could socialize with the canine. The staff took the woman to the room designated for customer-pet interaction, from where she stole the dog when the staff wasn’t around. The camera later captured the woman driving away in her car.

Police are still investigating the theft and have requested that people call the Frisco police if they have any information about the incident. The suspect hasn’t been caught yet, and police are still on the lookout.
