Florida Couple Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Family Dog

A married couple in Lee County, Florida, is facing bestiality charges for allegedly sexually assaulting their family dog on multiple occasions. Police arrested the pair — identified as 26-year-old Samantha White and 29-year-old John White — on Friday, Feb. 15.

According to Alaska’s News Source, Samantha engaged in sexual intercourse with one of their family dogs as John purportedly filmed the disgusting act. It remains unclear whether the dog suffered injuries from the sexual abuse.

The couple also owned other dogs. However, authorities haven’t confirmed if the pair sexually assaulted these animals as well.

Following their arrest, the Lee County Domestic Animal Services removed four dogs from the Whites’ residence. As reported by WDBO News, all the canines were taken to a veterinarian for medical evaluation in order to determine whether any of them had any injuries.

In a statement, Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno condemned the couple’s sickening actions. He shared: “I am disgusted by the actions of these two North Fort Myers residents. I will not tolerate any kind of abuse in Lee County.”

Sheriff Marceno also emphasized his commitment to protecting animals from such despicable characters. “I stand by my guarantee to protect those who cannot protect themselves and put criminals behind bars,” he said.

Investigation into the case is still ongoing.

The state of Florida has a bestiality bill in place — Senate Bill 344, enforced in 2011 — that bans residents from engaging in sexual acts with animals. This bill also prohibits the recording of such acts or participating as an observer.

According to the Neighborhood Watch for Pets, sexually abused pets often exhibit symptoms such as loss of fur, blood around the animal’s genitalia, wounds on the tail, bruises on their rear area or vaginal region, and fur matting. Additionally, it’s common for sexually assaulted dogs to suffer neglect by their abuser.
