Dog Sneaks Out of Home, Crashes Metallica Show

Dogs love music just like the rest of us. So we can’t blame the dog that snuck out of her home in Inglewood, California, and crashed a Metallica concert.

Dog sneaks into Metallica concert

According to Stereogum, the dog, Storm, lives near the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The infamous metal band played two concerts there last weekend. Late on Sunday, the pup left home and wandered over to the stadium. Somehow, she got into the concert. She even nabbed a seat so she could soak up the edgy ambiance of the legendary group’s live show.!

At first, spectators thought someone abandoned the dog. In a Facebook post featuring a pic of the pup, The Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation wrote that it was “looking for a possible foster.”

The rescue reported that the dog, which they believed was an Akita Shepherd mix, was sitting in the arena “for hours.” Then, the pup was taken to a local shelter. The rescue was hoping to get the “very friendly and sweet” dog out of the shelter and place her in a foster home.

“Regardless of what people think, no dog should be taken to a rock concert,” the rescue cautioned. “It was extremely loud, and that poor pup was definitely scared.”

Dog parent comes forward

However, as it turned out, Storm wasn’t abandoned. The Husky lives with dog mom Arizbeth Hurtado across from the stadium. According to Consequence, Hurtado was “laughing so hard when we saw she was sitting in an actual seat at the concert.”

Hurtado went on to confirm that Storm is home and safe. “We learned something new about her,” she continued. “She is apparently a huge Metallica fan who decided to sneak out for the concert!”

Metallica chimes in

The buzz Storm generated was loud enough to get Metallica’s attention. The band gave a shout-out to their furry fan on social media.

“You might have heard we had a four-legged fan join us for #M72LA!” the metalheads posted on Twitter. “Despite reports to the contrary, our friend Storm snuck out of her home adjacent to @SoFiStadium and made her way to the gig all by herself.”

The musical icons continued: “After a full night taking in the show with her #MetallicaFamily, Storm was safely reunited with her actual family the next day. She had a great time listening to her favorite songs, including ‘Barx Æterna,’ ‘Master of Puppies,’ and ‘The Mailman That Never Comes.’”

They concluded by saying, “And in case you were wondering, no. You definitely shouldn’t bring your furry friends to the #M72 World Tour. But this dog sure did have her day…”
