Simon Cowell’s Dog Diddly: Breed, Age, and More

Want to impress Simon Cowell? Introduce him to a pup and see him turn all mushy in seconds. The media mogul is a huge dog lover. Over the years he and his family have welcomed several fur babies in the household. One of his many pups is Diddly who is cute as a button. Here’s more about Simon Cowell’s dog Diddly’s age and breed.

How old is Simon Cowell’s dog Diddly?

The age of Simon Cowell’s dog Diddly is not clear. But the America’s Got Talent judge adopted Diddly along with another pup Squiddly in 2013. Going by that, one can assume that Diddly must be around 10-11.

Diddly and Squiddly are often spotted with Simon Cowell on various occasions. Be it on holidays, reading carpets, or in another place, the AGT judge loves to travel with his pet pooches. Moreover, “two of the luckiest pups in the world” fly a private jet with their owner, leading a life of luxury.

The pups made a cameo in a 2024 episode of Britain’s Got Talent. In the episode, youth Pastor Kevon Carter matched his musical notes with Simon’s pet pooches, Squiddly, Diddly, and Daisy’s bark, making everyone laugh with the sweet act. Simon Cowell even gave a standing ovation for the performance at the end.

What breed is Simon Cowell’s dog Diddly?

The breed of Simon Cowell’s dog Diddly is Yorkshire Terries, also known as Yorkie. They are small, compact pups who are very active, energetic, and playful. They stand 7-8 inches tall and weigh around 7 pounds. The life expectancy of these dogs is 11-15 years.

Due to his love for animals, Simon Cowell has never shied away from raising his voice against animal cruelty. He teamed up with Cruelty-Free International to spread awareness to end experimentation on animals worldwide.

Speaking about how his pet pooches impacted his life and his mission, he told Glamour, “I have always loved dogs but had no idea how much happiness they would bring to my life. Squiddly, Diddly, and now Freddie, are hugely important members of my family— and even the thought of any dog being mistreated sickens me… No dog should be treated in such a way. After all, they are man’s (and woman’s) best friend.”
