Eilish shared an Instagram on February 9, 2021 that revealed she was celebrating Shark’s first birthday, which is how we know how old he is. The first post on Shark’s Instagram account was on April 12, 2020, meaning that he was just two months old when Eilish adopted him from a rescue organization called ACPB in Los Angeles.
As revealed in an interview with Vogue, Eilish initially wanted to foster a few puppies, thinking that she would be home for two weeks before her tour in 2020. She received two pups named Jem and Miss Maudie, and as the pandemic grew over the summer, she decided to adopt Jem and changed his name to Shark.
