Though there is a debate about whether you can give your dog raw venison, cooked venison is safe to feed your doggo.

Raw venison does contain more nutrients, but some dogs don’t handle raw foods well. You also shouldn’t give your pup raw venison that you have hunted, as wild deer may be more likely to have illnesses that can make your pup sick.

You can cook venison for your dog just as you would cook it for yourself, but forgo the butter and seasonings. A little oil is okay.

You can also dry venison to make jerky for your doggo, which they will definitely thank you for. Venison jerky is a snack you and your dog can even share together.
