Food has a way of bringing everyone together. The sizzle of meat on the grill, the smell of fresh spices, and the anticipation of a meal in the making all create a sense of shared excitement. For Sammy, a playful pup raised in a Mexican household, this means more than just watching his family eat. A new video shows the Corgi getting a custom-made quesadilla prepared lovingly just for him.
Family works together to feed their Corgi Mexican food in video
Sammy, a Tejano Corgi, was recently featured in a video showing the lengths his family goes to make him feel special. The clip opens with the furbaby eagerly observing his family preparing for a small barbecue.
His owner carries in bags of charcoal and other ingredients, which immediately excites the pup. The grill is prepared and the charcoal is set ablaze, filling the backyard with the scents of an upcoming feast.
As the grill heats up, Sammy’s “abuela humana,” or human grandmother, begins making tiny homemade flour tortillas. She carefully rolls and shapes each one as the Corgi watches in anticipation from the floor.
Meanwhile, the meat, tomatoes, and jalapeños are placed on the grill to cook, releasing sizzling aromas that keep Sammy intrigued. Unable to contain his excitement, the pup dashes around the yard in a playful case of the zoomies.
Once the ingredients are perfectly cooked, Sammy’s owner carefully assembles the mini quesadilla. In a tender moment, they even blow on the quesadilla to cool it down before offering it to the furbaby. The Corgi immediately devours the treat, clearly savoring every bite.
“Meanwhile my dog is side-eyeing me because I haven’t given him a mini quesadilla,” one viewer joked, imagining their own pets reacting with envy. Another praised the family’s thoughtfulness, saying, “Blowing the food and holding it for your dog is the one most wholesome things you can do.”
Many were also enchanted by the entire backyard scene, sharing sentiments like, “Everyone in this whole video is living the dream,” and “Treating your dog as part of the family might result in having the happiest dog ever.”
