  • Salmonella is a bacterial infection that can often be found in uncooked meat, contaminated pet foods, and the feces of other dogs.
  • Common symptoms of salmonella in dogs include vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and acting lethargic.
  • Young pups and older dogs are most at risk of salmonella due to often having weakened immune systems.
  • Serious cases of salmonella might require a dog to have a period of hospitalization until they recover.
