Dogs can form incredibly protective bonds with their younger siblings, often going out of their way to keep them comfortable and safe. A recent social media post captured one such heartwarming moment, showing two dogs, Theo and Norman, looking after their specially-abled sister, Apple.

The throwback video shows the dogs going above and beyond to protect their visually impaired baby sister. Norman sits with his chest held high like a little knight, making for an adorable and hilarious sight.

Soon, Theo arrives, seemingly after getting an update on Apple’s situation. He appears to check whether his little sister is ready to leave the room, while the German Shepherd calmly looks to Norman to make sure the hallway is safe.

Norman seems to have taken on the responsibility of checking the path for any potential dangers before Apple comes out. He lets Theo know that the hallway is “all clear” for Apple to make her way out. With her big brother standing guard, Apple finally steps into the hallway after hiding behind him. Thanks to her protective siblings, the special pup can safely make her way through the house, strutting along like a little princess.

The adorable trio appears to have turned Apple’s safety into a daily routine, with Theo and Norman acting as her devoted four-legged bodyguards. Their sweet interaction is also a touching example of the loving bond they share.

At the time of writing, the video has amassed more than 290K views and over 14K likes. Viewers were quick to share their reactions, with one writing, “So cute was not expecting that little one.” Another commented, “Tooooooo cute, my heart is smiling!” A third user added, “Dogs LOVE having a job.”
