Kaley Cuoco Warns Dog Parents About Dangers of Foxtail Plants After Pup’s Near-Death Experience

Kaley Cuoco had a scare with one of her many dogs. Her fur baby King had a near-death scare due to a foxtail plant. Now, the “Flight Attendant” star is warning other dog parents about the dangers of the plant.

According to People, Cuoco posted an Instagram Story on Monday for “all my dog lovers out there.” The clip showed a foxtail plant on the 37-year-old actor’s leg.

“This is a foxtail,” the caption said. “They are extremely dangerous to animals esp dogs … we spent the last 2 months trying to figure out what was wrong [with] our King.”

The celeb continued:  “He had been violently ill and nothing was working.”

Cuoco said it took many appointments with a veterinarian, “endless” medications, and surgery. Then, she found a specialist who discovered two foxtail plants in the dog’s body. The famous dog mom said the foxtail plants were “days away from piercing his heart!”

Luckily, the pup pulled through.

In another Instagram story, Cuoco updated her fans that King “is doing soooo much better but as u can see he has tons of stitches from a super intense surgery … please be careful. Also please note these must be surgically removed. They do not heal on their own!”

Cuoco shared a pair of pics of King. The dog had stitches but looked healthy in the shot, which featured his big brown eyes.

“Take care of your pets or don’t have one! We are so grateful he is ok and will live a long happy life!” Cuoco wrote in the caption.

Cuoco is a notorious dog lover and animal advocate. She once said she has a “pack of dogs” and refuses to tell the media exactly how many pups live under her roof.

“I’m not allowed to say how many I have, because I am afraid they will come knocking, saying that it’s an illegal amount,” Cuoco told Variety.

Thankfully, it sounds like she is giving all of them the love and care they need.
