National Black Dog Day: 30 Beautiful, Black Dogs To Celebrate [PICTURES]

October 1st is National Black Dog Day. Did you know that black dogs are less likely to be adopted and are often passed over in shelters for lighter colored dogs.

“How can that be?” you may be wondering. Those are just the sad statistics. Maybe people don’t want black fur on their furniture. Maybe these dogs’ personalities are hidden beneath their ebony coats.
