Nothing compares to the heartbreak a fur baby feels when their family members surrender them to shelters. This video captured a shelter dog named Blue, who is eight years old, seeing people walking past her kennel, as they don’t know her heartbreaking story. On August 6, @ahsnewark took to Instagram to post the video. It has begun to gain a lot of attention since then, garnering more than 1K likes on Instagram at the time of writing.
Shelter Dog wasn’t the one her family chose, so she now watches people walk past her kennel
An emotional video on Instagram showcased an eight-year-old shelter dog named Blue seeing people walking past her kennel after her family failed to choose her. The video has captured the hearts of many on social media. The caption of the post revealed, “8 year old Blue is in the shelter in favor of a new puppy.”
The caption further read, “Blue, who is 8 years old, was surrendered after the family welcomed a new puppy she wasn’t too thrilled about.” It continued, “So instead of keeping their lifelong family companion, Blue was surrendered.”
The caption then revealed, “Blue lived her whole life with kids of various ages before her surrender.” It continued, “She is house trained, knows a few commands and loves people! This poor girl needs someone to show her that family should mean forever!”
The Instagram video began by giving a closer look at Blue, the shelter dog inside her kennel. She was standing behind her kennel door. She had clear signs of heartbreak in her eyes as she witnessed people passing by her kennel every day. As the clip continued, viewers could see the dog being friendly whenever the volunteers took her out of her kennel. The shelter dog is currently at AHS Newark Animal Shelter, 124 Evergreen Ave Newark, NJ. The fur baby truly deserves someone who will choose her and give her a loving forever home.
