This Instagram video shows how a shelter dog’s online status didn’t help him in adoption. According to a volunteer, a previous video of Turtle received over ten million reach. This gave her hope that someone would come for the senior pooch. Sadly, not one single interest appeared. Currently, Turtle has moved to a new shelter and is still waiting for his happy ending. “Not one person adopted this senior dog after 10 million people saw his story,” the caption reads. Viewers have also requested online users in the comments to adopt the fur baby.
Shelter dog isn’t adoption despite 10 million reach on previous video
In a heartbreaking dog video on Instagram, a senior shelter dog has still not been adopted even after his previous post reached 10 million. The clip begins with the volunteer learning that Turtle had “zero adoption applications” at the shelter. So, she took him out on a day trip.
She and Turtle enjoyed their little trip at the park, munching on different snacks. According to the uploader, the day trip video reached 10 million online. Even after that, Turtle didn’t receive a single application. However, soon a rescue home reached out to the volunteer. So, the pooch was moved to a new shelter where he was loved and taken care of.
Furthermore, the woman mentions in the shelter dog video that she thought Turtle would soon be adopted. At his new rescue home, nobody has shown any interest. Sadly, the senior dog is still waiting for a forever home to spend his golden days.
Meanwhile, viewers have come forward in the comments to help Turtle, who is currently housed at Animal Providence Center in Media, Pennsylvania, with adoption. A user wrote, “He’s literally such a sweet guy. And such a lap dog. Someone come adopt him.” Another encouraging comment reads, “We’re going to make this work all together at our level. Don’t you worry no more sweet guy.” The post has garnered over 19K likes as of this writing.
