Shelter Dog Has Odds Stacked Against Her, but Waits for Someone to Look Past Them

Shelter environments can be loud and overwhelming, often making it difficult for dogs to let their true personalities shine.

That was the case with Belle, too, but everything changes once she steps outside her kennel. Away from the noise, she transforms into a playful, affectionate companion who lights up wherever she goes. She loves spending time with people. She happily soaks up every bit of attention, proving she has so much love to give.

Belle’s journey hasn’t been easy. She arrived at the shelter with mange, a skin condition that required treatment and patience. Thankfully, she has recovered well and is now simply waiting for a family willing to give her the love and care she deserves.

The good news is that much of the hard work has already been done. Belle has been spayed, is fully vetted, and has tested negative for heartworm. She is more than ready to begin the next chapter of her life. Belle isn’t asking for much. She just wants a gentle hand, a soft bed, and a family that will love her unconditionally and never let go of her paw.
