Dog Has a Valid Reason for Being Afraid of Household Objects

Living with an incredibly dramatic pet means adjusting to some completely irrational behavior over ordinary everyday items. A hilarious Instagram video by @levithehuskyrescue explains the logic behind one funny dog and her intense phobias.

According to their bio, the page tracks life with a sassy Husky and his derpy sister, Smuckers. This mixed breed pup instantly cowers or runs into the backyard whenever she spots normal household items. Her owner jokingly suspects her internal wiring might be a bit scrambled.

Owner explains dog’s reason to be afraid of household objects

The funny clip starts with a close-up of Smuckers looking straight into the camera lens with droopy jowls. The narration lists her top enemies, starting with a basic camera tripod. The mixed breed pup genuinely believes the plastic stand is a creepy, three-legged stick person.

Next comes a simple broom handle, labeled the “stick of doom.” It fell over exactly once in the past, and the poor pup simply never emotionally recovered from the event.

Exercise equipment also makes the list for an excellent reason. She watches her human run fast on the elliptical machine while staying in the exact same spot. This total lack of forward movement suggests some form of actual witchcraft is happening in the living room. Which, of course, is something to be wary of.

New purchases also trigger an immediate escape response. A basic rubber floor mat is terrifying simply because it was not there yesterday. An egg cooker causes similar panic by loudly losing its steam. Winter holiday decorations out in July also require absolutely no explanation.

However, the worst offender is definitely the loud vacuum cleaner. The owner cannot even say the word aloud without the pup diving straight through the doggy door. This silly video perfectly captures the classic, sensitive traits of a funny dog. The hilarious post earned over 23.7K likes from amused pet owners.

Commenters completely agree with the Smucker’s owner’s assessment. One person noted that fleeing outside at the slightest hint of trouble is an excellent safety strategy. Another user admitted to being equally afraid of out-of-season holiday decorations.
