Rescue dog ‘avoids conflict’ with duck standing in her way
This rescue dog, Ariel, was found in a shelter nearly seven years ago and was saved by a rescue organization in Texas. As per the mom, the pup was “completely emaciated & pregnant with 5 pups.” Moreover, Ariel looked “starved” and had the “saddest eyes” when she first saw the pup. However, Ariel’s life took a happy turn when the McLeod family adopted her. Since then, the rescue dog “has always been the sweetest, gentlest, kindest soul,” and her recent clip attests to this fact.
The Instagram video shows Ariel standing and wagging her tail outside the door. She is keen on entering the hall. However, she refrains from coming inside as Mooney, a duck, is blocking her way. While the other pooch swiftly crosses the duck, Ariel waits patiently for Mooney to move so that she can enter the room. However, despite repeated calls from the mom, neither Ariel nor her feathered friend moves. They both stay still at the door. Looking at the situation, the pet mom finally intervenes and makes way for the pup by moving Mooney’s carpet away.
“POV Your dog is a ‘people’ pleaser & will do anything to avoid conflict,” revealed the paw parent in the post. Going by the caption, “Another day, another Ariel rescue mission,” it seems it is an everyday thing in the household. However, talking about the duck, the owner was quick to clarify that Mooney is “an absolute darling.” However, Mooney also “loves to show her sassy side when an opportunity arises.” Moreover, the mom says that the duck “is the baby of the household & even the dogs love her.”
